Leed’s premier metal festival, Damnation Festival, has announced the first bands for this year’s event.
Death metal heavyweights Dying Fetus and reformed British doom band Warning are among the first bands to be announced with the latter performing a UK exclusive of Watching from a Distance when they take to the stage at Leeds University Union, on Saturday November 4th.
Also announced are enigmatic post-rock duo Nordic Giants and American death metal outfit Gatecreeper – who will be making their debut UK appearance at the festival.
Commenting on their addition to the bill, the band said:
We are excited to come over to the UK and very fortunate to have our debut at Damnation Festival. People having been begging us to come over and we can’t think of a better first appearance than at Damnation Festival.
Frontman of Dying Fetus John Gallagher commented:
We are ready to bring some brutality to Damnation Festival this year with some songs off our new album, along with the classics. See you in the pit!
