Having kicked off their mammoth UK tour with Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed earlier this week, Battles has been nominated for Hard Rock/Metal Album of the Year alongside peers Ghost and Dark Tranquillity in the Swedish Grammis. With it being their 8th nomination the band said:
We are very honoured to have received our 8th Swedish Grammis nomination for our newest album, Battles. We can’t thank our fans enough, who, throughout their years of support and dedication to our music, have kept In Flames alive and inspired. Jesterheads, this one’s for you!
Battles has proven to be a unique body of work for the Swedish metallers. Whilst staying true to the “In Flames” sound they have crafted, they show off some new elements which push their boundaries further than ever before.
Their tour alongside titans Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed began last Tuesday although you still have until the 22nd of January to catch this behemoth.
