Immolation
New York death metal giants Immolation will release their new album Atonement on February 24th via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band has released their second video trailer, in which Ross Dolan discusses how he became the singer and bass player of the band.
Atonement was recorded at Millbrook Sound Studios in Millbrook, NY with longtime producer Paul Orofino, and mixed and mastered once again by Zack Ohren. Cover art was created by renowned artist Pär Olofsson, along with additional artwork by the very talented Zbigniew Bielak.
Aversions Crown
Australian metal destroyers Aversions Crown will unleash their sophomore album, Xenocide on January 20th via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Today, the band has released their third video trailer for that record, in which they discuss the album cover artwork.
Xenocide was tracked by Adam Merker at Studio Anders Debeerz in Brisbane and mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis from Audio Hammer. You can also listen to a track from the album, “The Soulless Acolyte”, over on YouTube.
Hooded Menace
Hooded Menace have laid down the first sounds for their next album. It may come as a surprise, but the Finnish death doom prodigies used only an acoustic guitar for the creation of their first fresh tunes. No worries, they are not planning on abandoning electricity in regards to their forthcoming masterpiece. Writing, rehearsing, and recording will take its time, but we can all hope for a release in late 2017 – just don’t count on it at this stage.
Regarding their recent signing to Season of Mist, Hooded Menace commented:
We are stoked to join the very diverse roster of Season of Mist. This is a rather logical step onward on our path. New possibilities under new circumstances. We have exciting plans for the next Hooded Menace album and we are glad we have a strong, forward-thinking label backing us up.
