Enthrallment – “Eugenic Wombs” out now

Enthrallment - Eugenic WombsEnthrallment return with an excellent album, their fifth full length, and they’ve honed their skills impeccably.

Reminiscent of Immolation circa Close to a World Below (arguably the band’s best or at least the most accomplished album in their discography), Enthrallment take it further ahead by adding contemporary brutal death metal influences, topping it off with a stunning production replete with thick bass tones, staggering drum fills that remain audible, not to mention the chunky guitar riffs, and lastly, the monstrous throat of the Ross Dolan-esque vocalist.

But Enthrallment have carved their own path, borrowing the right influences but shaping them their way. This makes their music sound familiar but challenging, bolder, heavier, and also cater to the technically-inclined audience.

From Bulgaria, the members have risen against all odds to go head-to-head with the best death metal bands in the genre of late, and in doing so, have left absolutely no stone unturned. Eugenic Wombs may well be one of the best albums of this year, one that requires a close listen to appreciate the intricate facets of this release.

The full album is streaming on the band’s soundcloud page.
