Bloodstock announce first 2016 headliner

Bloodstock is thrilled to unveil their first 2016 headliner; Atlanta’s mighty beasts, Mastodon! They will headline the Saturday night at the Catton Park festival.

Loved and respected by critics, music fans, and their peers, this will be Mastodon’s first performance at Bloodstock! The band’s current album, Once More Round The Sun picked up stellar reviews on its release last year and landed at #10 on the UK album chart; their UK career high. The band are currently getting ready to play Knotfest in the US before heading out on tour with Judas Priest across the States. Since day one, nobody has embraced Mastodon better than the UK has. Thank you for inviting us to our first festival headlining slot at Bloodstock 2016! We will not disappoint.

Bloodstock’s early bird weekend tickets with camping are on sale now, priced £120 (plus booking fee) from Bloodstock prides itself on being family-friendly and welcomes rockers of all ages! A weekend ticket with camping for children aged 4 – 11 is just £35 (+booking fee), and if your little mosher is under 4, they can join you for free (Note: all children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 18). Campervan pitches are also already on sale and these move very quickly, so pick yours up ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Mastodon join the bill with the previously announced Venom and Friday’s special guests, Behemoth who’ll be playing their album, The Satanist in full at Bloodstock 2016!
