Rival Sons rock Yorkshire

Rival Sons Radio 1LA Rockers Rival Sons, Radio 1’s Clara Amfo and the Coral’s Nick Power give quiet Holmfirth, West Yorkshire a rock ‘n’ roll experience they won’t forget.

Jack Daniel’s gave Holmfirth in West Yorkshire (population 1,900) an unforgettable rock ‘n’ roll experience by bringing LA rockers Rival Sons and the host of Radio 1’s Official Chart Show Clara Amfo along with The Coral’s Nick Power to the town as part of its Jack Rocks Your Town celebration.

Rival Sons arrived in Holmfirth by helicopter, landing on the town’s cricket pitch. They were officially welcomed to the town by Pete Carr, owner of the local Picturedrome music venue and his Border terrier, at a welcome party in its pavilion. The band then spent the day meeting local residents; exploring the nearby West Yorkshire Moors, sampling traditional British fare at the Penny Lane Tearooms and buying everyone in The Nook pub a round of drinks. The band then kicked off their world tour with a rammed gig at The Picturedrome that evening.

At an exclusive Jack Daniel’s after party, Radio 1’s next star Clara Amfo took to the decks alongside The Coral’s Nick Power. Clara Amfo will take over from Fearne Cotton on Radio 1’s Chart Show from 25th May.
