Disfigured Dead disband / reform under new moniker NilExistence

NilExistence - albumAfter a change in the band’s musical evolution, imagery and concepts New York’s Disfigured Dead have decided to move forward with their music by including a new perspective to the band & a new band name. After the recording of what will be the new band’s debut full length the core members of Disfigured Dead, Kyle Kratzer (drums), Dave Gruver (guitar), Ryan Kratzer (guitar) and Isaac Dillon (bass), are now joined by vocalist Mark Berlin to make up the newly formed Death Metal / Extreme Metal Band NilExistence; vocal duties during the recording were handled by Dave Gruver and Kyle Kratzer.

The band had this to say about the change:

We as a band have decided to carry on our music and work under a new name, and as a different band. We hear our music and see something more and Disfigured Dead just doesn’t suit the bands concepts anymore. We thank everyone and anyone whose helped and supported us this far and ask you to come like our new page!!!

The band have been tracking their debut full length over the past year. They will be handing the record over to the famous Hertz Studio (Decapitated, Behemoth, Vader) in Poland this coming March for Mixing and Mastering; with a release expected soon after. NilExistence have made available a live recording from a recent rehearsal session for the song “The Quietus” taken from the upcoming debut album on the band’s youtube page (or see it below).
