Exciting young band The Sun Never Set are overjoyed to present their debut self-titled EP, due for release on August 4th. To celebrate this most auspicious of occasions, the band are also releasing a lyric video of their lead track, “One Drop of Blood and We’ll All See Red”.
Equally inspired by the three peaks of post-hardcore, post-metal and metalcore, The Sun Never Set EP is the product of two years’ worth of grafting by this talented young band with bags of potential. Although at times crushingly heavy, the EP owes much to ambient post-hardcore and atmospheric post-metal. As the band comment:
“We aren’t trying to be the heaviest band with the most brutal breakdowns going. Instead, we use our music as therapy, and the stage as our clichĂ© chaise longue.”
No strangers to on-stage chaos (note: multiple stitches usually required during shows) or intrigue (just don’t ask about the band’s secret sixth member), The Sun Never Set are a promising new addition to the UK’s burgeoning post-metal scene. Be sure to check them out on tour in the Autumn.
