Premier League Fans Can’t Understand Why They Can’t Attend Games Yet Tickets Are Going Out On Sale For A London Music Concert

It’s been a tough year for sports. COVID-19 pandemic fears nearly had leagues do away with their seasons for good on a worldwide scale but, following an educated enough understanding of the deadly virus, sports were able to return, with the major European tiers getting to complete their campaigns and even kick off new ones.

The Premier League is now well underway, albeit without fans. Supporters haven’t been allowed back to games, which is certainly understandable under the circumstances. However, things become less understandable when around 5,000 tickets go out for a music concert. That’s right, London’s 02 Arena will play host to an event in early December, yet Prem fans have received no news bearing hope over returning to games.

It makes sense that a virus would spread more easily within a closed venue. So football fans could certainly be forgiven for raging at the inconsistencies. We’re all for safety here and are by no way advocating a return to stadiums, yet supporters are well within their rights to feel hard done by here.

Online betting, though, is pretty safe and you can do it from the comfort of your couch, bed, or even your toilet. With the top flight alive and kicking – boasting an unprecedented flurry of goals in the opening weeks – fans would do well to take note of outright bets. There are plenty of other Premier League promotions to ensure you make some cash even if you don’t bet on the outcome of a game.

Take the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton coming up this Saturday, for example. The Reds are favoured to win this one at 4/5, with the Toffees at 11/4, but you could still claim a win if both teams score, whether Everton win or lose. William Hill are offering 8/15 odds on both teams finding the back of the net.

You could also grab bets on a scorer. Mohamed Salah is 4/6 to get on the score-sheet in the match but you could get 8/5 on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who’s been in red-hot form for both club and country, nicking a goal as well. Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, also usually among the goals, is 8/11 to get one in the derby.

If you’re looking for some longer-term outrights. The reds are 11/8 to win the Premier League for the second successive season with bet365, Manchester City are 6/4 and Chelsea are 14/1. Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are both 19/1 with Paddy Power.
