Our regular run-down of as many of the upcoming Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Lost Brethren play the EMP stage on the Friday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Ant Deane – Peterborough , Adam Brown – Lincolnshire, Adrien Crozet – Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We started playing live as a two piece in 2019. In 2021 Adrien started to perform live with band and we played our first gig as a three piece at the Black Heart with Voices and Red Method.
Where does the name of the band come from?
The band name is related to the Sci-fi theme of the band.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We play sci-fi inspired technical death metal. We try to use a variety of sounds and textures such as theremin, synths and to try add a unique twist to the music.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Our live show consists of the three of us trying our best to pull off our set, whilst trying to keep up enough energy to entertain the audience. As we are on first so hopefully that will get some people over.

Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Yes I have attended various Bloodstocks and performed at one in 2007. It is always a good time and a chance to meet up with friends.
When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
We received an e-mail from Simon Hall back in March to say that we had been offered the slot.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
An intense 30 minutes of blast beats, shredding guitar solos and some groove thrown in there too.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We are playing first on the Friday, so hopefully we won’t be clashing with many other bands. We should get a good opportunity to see lots of cool stuff.
What are you working on at the moment?
At the moment we are currently just getting ready for our live show and have a gig with Batushka in October.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Watching the pit from above at this year’s Incineration Festival was pretty crazy people were getting thrown everywhere.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
We all normally have a few beers before we play and then it’s usually water on stage.
