Our regular run-down of as many of the upcoming Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Crucible play the New Blood stage on the Sunday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are from Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We formed just under a year ago after finishing secondary school together and began playing local jam nights not long after.
Where does the name of the band come from?
We got our name from the Crucible sword in Doom and Crucible Knights from Elden Ring.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We play death thrash with the riffing of bands like Kreator and Death, vocals like Lamb of God, Mudvayne basslines and the technical drumming of bands like Meshuggah. Our wide range of influences and young age help make us unique.

What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
We deliver a raw, brutal and crushing live show perfect for any metalhead wanting to mosh and support young and new music.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
This will be our first time going, we’re staying for the full weekend and looking forward to getting the full festival experience.
Which M2tM region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
We won M2TM Coventry.
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Bloodstock?
It was absolutely surreal and felt like a dream.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
We will be playing through the tracks of our unreleased EP The Cage – expect high energy and a lot of movement.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We’re playing on the Sunday so Carcass in particular are a favourite of ours.
What are you working on at the moment?
We are in the process of self recording our debut EP The Cage. We have previously released two demos from it, “Warzone” and “Demise”, which will be re-recorded and remastered for the release.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Stage diving during Municipal Waste in Birmingham was a personal highlight, easily one of the sickest live shows we’ve been to.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
For legal reasons, Fruit Shoots. We’re all 17.
