Big Boy Bloater is an incredibly accomplished guitarist with a gravelly growl of a voice and a list of musical collaborations as long as your arm… but the focus of this interview is on mental health. Among other things, Mr Bloater discusses the importance of seeking help and talking to people (family, friends, medical professionals, …) as well as the joy he finds in being creative, although, he is honest about how hard he finds the business side of being a musician. We get some hints about an upcoming album he is working on and have a brief chat about what he’s up to in the next couple of months. (Dates are shown below but check out the tour section of his website for full details)
Mr Bloater (or, as I think he said I could call him, “Fuzzy”) was a pleasure to interview and I hope I get the chance to catch up with him again when the new album is released.
