Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Good ol’ Manchester, England!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
10 Years! Time flies.
Where does the name of the band come from?
If we told you that then we would have to change it to Dead XIV…
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Bigger, Faster, Louder, Harder.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
If there’s one thing we pride ourselves on its our live shows!
We never wanted to be the type of band that just turned up in t-shirts & jeans, played then left. It works for some bands which is great, just not us.
We always wanted to bring something more. Its not just about an image or a sound, its about going out and giving it everything you’ve got night after night. We put everything into our shows and we push to make every single one something unique.
People should watch us instead of another band because whether you’ve heard of us before or not, you will definitely know our name by the end of the set.

Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Actually, we haven’t. Bloodstock has been the “one that got away”, for a long, long time. Bloodstock represents the pinnacle of what the grass roots scene can achieve and we are incredibly proud to have the chance to be part of it.
We will be there all weekend, so if you see us, make sure you come and grab a beer with us.
Which M2tM region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
Sanctuary, Burnley!
Honestly, we entered because we love the spirit of the M2TM competition and gigs at Sanctuary are always sick. We’ve always seen it as a home away from home, everything about that venue, just works!
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Bloodstock?
Shocked, ecstatic, numb, unreal, still hasn’t sunk in!
Yeah 8, that’ll do it.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
Now that would be telling. Expect our biggest show ever but crammed into a half hour of power. We have a new record on the way to so will be throwing in some brand new tracks too. Its going to get warm!
Which other bands do you most hope you’re not squished up next to so you can see them play?
Were definitely going to check out the other bands on the new blood stage and catch our friends in Bloodyard. Other than that there’s just so many to list but, to name a few we will definitely be catching Black Coast, Meshuggah, King 810, BioHazard, In Flames, KSE and of course Megadeth!
What are you working on at the moment?
We’ve just finished recording our third album at Hellfire studios. Currently shipping around to a few different labels to work out the best release strategy. We want to get it into everyone’s hands ASAP!
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Ever seen a crowd surfing blow up doll? We hadn’t either until we played Burnely.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
The type of drink doesn’t matter so much anymore, what does matter is that we have to listen to “Kickstart My Heart”. Nothing gets us fired up more than that at the moment.
