It has been two years since I spoke to South Dakota based death metal band Angerot. In that interview, they played me riffs for their upcoming album The Profound Recreant that left me eager for more. Unfortunately with the world as it is at the moment, it has taken two long years for this album to come to fruition and will be released in March through the brilliant label Redefining Darkness Records.
Angerot released a video for “They Shall Take Up Serpents” and this gives me high hopes for the band. What we need to do is spread the word for this band as Angerot deserve a lot of recognition for the craft they bestow upon us. Having guest musicians such as Andy LaRoque (King Diamond), Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel), Sammy Duet (Goatwhore) and Steve Olsen (Baest) speaks volumes about what we have in store for the album.
