Having witnessed these Scottish death metal heavyweights in October of last year with Foetal Juice, Bloodthread, Rend Them Asunder and Brain Bath, they tore the Glasgow Audio a new one. The sheer power and ferocity they displayed to a rammed Audio was a sight to see and witnessing pits, stage dives as well as guest vocalists (even though that was new to Daryl Boyce) was a great relief after the enforced gig-free months.
It truly was a great night and witnessing such a strong crowd to a brutal death metal gig was very pleasing to these eyes. I honestly think that there is some good that has come out of this Covid pandemic, what with UK fans realising that there is actually a very strong local metal scene. Local bands deserve to be supported and the attendance that night was clear evidence that this was the case.

I took the opportunity to speak to Scordatura’s guitarist Owen at the merch stall to arrange an interview which we finally got round to having. I got to speak to the whole band minus vocalist Daryl, which was a shame as the rest of the band didn’t hold back in taking the mickey out of him. I tried to defend you, Daryl, but the band wouldn’t listen I am afraid.
This was a close insight into the band of Scordatura, what they have in store for us and how they are hungry to get new material out there.
