Here we go again… Last year we covered every band on the Hobgoblin New Blood and Jagermeister stages in the run-up to Bloodstock 2015. This year, we’re going one better and aim to have interviews from all the bands on those two stages as well as all of those on the SOPHIE stage prior to the event kicking off on August 11th. That’s almost 100 interviews to get online for you lucky people over the course of the next couple of weeks. I bloody love this job, but you lot owe me a beer at Catton Hall, right?
Thanks to all the bands who’ve taken the time to respond!
Pulverise – Jagermeister stage, Saturday
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re from Leeds, yo!
How did you meet?
Partying hard on the local scene – we’ve known each other donkey’s years when finally, the stars aligned and we created.. PULVERISE!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We turned 3 in July! (Boisterous toddlers!)
Where does the name of the band come from?
It was inspired by our geeky love of comics and matched our sound and style so well!
What are your influences – individually or as a band?
Jojo – Rob Zombie
Luke – Black Label Society
Daz – Stuck Mojo
Vicky – Lamb of God
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We create our own special brand of groovy rap metal stylings with a unique fun flava! You don’t just listen to Pulverise you FEEL us!
What’s your live show like – why should the baying hordes troop over to the stage you’re playing on to watch you?
We are BONKERS! ;p It’s like a party in your living room with a full metal band! Stage dives and high fives! Inclusive, infectious and crazy grooves!
When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
On June 24 at The Old Turk, we played our balls off (yes, even the ladies!) at the Metal 2 The Masses final. The awesome Rob Bannister chose us and our BFFs Pteroglyph to come play BLOODSTOCK! Total dream come true!
What sort of setlist can we expect?
We reckon we’re the only band that will be bringing some metal style bubble gum pop to the party, mixed with our usual rap metal-y stylings!
Which main stage band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
Ohhh we’re dying to see Fear Factory! Fingers crossed!
What are you working on at the moment?
We’re focusing on promoting our single “Stumble”, playing ALL OF the shows and partying hard!
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done on tour?
At the last show we played, Rockprest, Daz (our bassist) disappeared into the pit mid set (oh, the joys of wireless!) turned around and heckled and booed the rest of the band to everybody’s puzzlement and amusement whilst he was playing… Pretty much booing himself! Lol!
What advice would you give to a young band just starting out today?
Keep it fun – support the bands you’re playing with. Always be thankful and gracious to the people around you. Basically, don’t be a dick!
If you could be part of any 3-band line-up who else would you have on the bill? One band above you and one below – a chance to plug a smaller, unsigned act!

What stage / time are you playing at Bloodstock (if you have your slot yet!)
We are playing the Jagermeister Stage on Saturday 13 August. We haven’t received a stage time yet but we believe we are second on the bill! :) COME PARTY WITH US! :D
