Interview: Riot Conduct

Cruel Minded Hardcore just announced a show with the best Scottish lineup 2016 has seen so far. For anyone with even a passing interest in hardcore, a bill featuring Riot Conduct, Revolve, Eternal War, Deceit, and Revulsion needs no introduction. It looks set to be a real celebration of one of the most vibrant, creative, and energetic scenes in the country, if not hardcore worldwide!

Whether you’re completely new to hardcore, looking to catch up with some of the newer bands on the scene, or just want to support some killer heavy music from Scotland, you definitely don’t want to miss this gig! So, to whet our appetites, we’ve been catching up with each of the bands on the bill in quickfire Q&A sessions.  First up are Edinburgh/ Stirling hardcore punks Riot Conduct!

How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard you before?

We take inspiration from the late eighties NY style of hardcore. Fast and angry.

What can we expect from your live show?

Four friends jumping around shouting about aspects of life that we don’t like.

Where are you from? How long have you been playing together?

We’re from the Edinburgh/Stirling area and we’ve been jamming for around four months.

Which bands would you say influenced you?

Outburst, Raw Deal, Madball and Cause For Alarm.

Which band are you most looking forward to watching at this show?

Revulsion because they get better and heavier every time they play.

Any big plans for 2016?

A cool demo and quite possibly a 7″ or two: who knows?!

Riot Conduct will play with Revolve, Eternal War, Deceit, and Revulsion at Glasgow’s Audio on Monday 14th March.
