Cruel Minded Hardcore just announced a show with the best Scottish lineup 2016 has seen so far. For anyone with even a passing interest in hardcore, a bill featuring Riot Conduct, Revolve, Eternal War, Deceit, and Revulsion needs no introduction. It looks set to be a real celebration of one of the most vibrant, creative, and energetic scenes in the country, if not hardcore worldwide!
Whether you’re completely new to hardcore, looking to catch up with some of the newer bands on the scene, or just want to support some killer heavy music from Scotland, you definitely don’t want to miss this gig! So, to whet our appetites, we’ve been catching up with each of the bands on the bill in quickfire Q&A sessions. For the final interview in the series, it was our pleasure to talk to the mighty headliners Revulsion!
How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard you before?
Metal and hardcore together. Heavy, aggressive, with a varied mix of fast and slow.
What can we expect from your live show?
Loud and hopefully for the crowd to be lively. For the songs to sound the same, if not better than they do recorded. We’d hope that! Haha!
Where are you from? How long have you been playing together?
We’re from Stirling/ Glasgow/ Linlithgow area (Central Scotland) and we’ve been a band for just under two years. Aaron, our new drummer, has been drumming with us for around five-to-six months now.
Which bands would you say influenced you?
Even though there are bands we all like a lot as a band, we’d like to say we just write what we like writing together. So, there’s parts that we wouldn’t necessarily go looking for in other bands, that we play, but we enjoy when we do it.
Which band are you most looking forward to watching at this show?
We’re excited to see Revolve. Those dudes are really cool. Excited to hear their newer stuff once it’s out.
Any big plans for 2016?
We’re releasing a 7″ record and playing shows around that. Hopefully touring throughout summer and continue writing for our full length LP.
Revulsion will play with Riot Conduct, Revolve, Eternal War, and Deceit at Glasgow’s Audio on Monday 14th March.
