Interview Archive (audio): Machine Head triple-bill!

Machine Head

Three interviews with Machine Head for you today. They’re all from around 1997 (one of them definitely, the other two rough guesses) and feature Logan Mader, Adam Duce and Robb Flynn.

The only one I really remember is the one with Robb from the Manchester Apollo, on the tour bus. A typical damp Manchester night, I dragged my then-girlfriend (Sonja) all the way there so I could talk to one of the coolest guys I ever met then attend one of the best gigs I had ever been to at that time.

As ever, feel free to listen, download, pass around – just please give me credit.

This first one’s with Adam Duce. Listening through, I recall that it was recorded at Leeds Town & Country Club (now renamed, I think) and when they were touring in support of The More Things Change.

This next one with Logan has already appeared on these pages as a transcript. It was done via the phone on February 11th, 1997. Again, it was promoting the (upcoming at that time, I think) second album.

And finally to Robb Flynn himself. I’m not sure of the date, but I think it was before the interview with Adam, possibly 1996. Listening to it again, it’s about 10 months after Burn My Eyes came out. Robb really was a great guy to talk to – he must have been for me to remember it after all this time!
