99 Red Balloons” (“99 Luftballons” in the original German) is a classic track that’s been covered by umpteen artists over the years. Originally released in 1983 by Nena on their self-titled debut album it’s one of those songs that everyone seems to know and as a result, a lot of bands have had a go at it.

This version, though, scores 10/10 for originality. Playing the song using actual red balloons and no other instruments.

Amazingly, it comes over rather well. Complete novelty value, and utterly brilliant.
