This band will hit you like a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick. Read what they’re about below, then scroll down and check out their most recent video for evidence of the lemon brickness…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Hi, thanks for having us, we are based in London, although our band members are quite diverse. Jonny and Flynn are English boys, Pedro is from Brazil, Federico from Italy and Mark from Latvia. A bit of a crazy mix but we all work together.
How did you meet?
We have known each other for quite a few years now, we had all played together in previous bands that unfortunately didn’t work out. Though we all got together again and started working on songs that would lead to us creating Paradis.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Overall Paradis is quite new, although we have known and played together for many years now. We spent a year getting everything ready before launching in early 2024. The reception so far has been brilliant and we don’t have plans of slowing down.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
Paradis comes from the thought of merging two aspects of the Italian poem The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. The first part, Inferno, tells the story of Dante’s descent through the nine circles of hell, with circles six through nine being contained within the City of Dis. The third part of the poem shows Dante reaching Paradise. The name stems from the dichotomy of heaven and hell needing each other to exist.
What are your influences?
We have been inspired by the likes of Parkway Drive, Architects, Polaris and Avenged Sevenfold for their huge performances, creative song writing and all around heaviness that we love so much, though we could go on all day about all the bands we listen to between us.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We incorporate everyone’s musical background to create songs unique to us, aside from the riffs, huge choruses and breakdowns, we and synth and choirs, to elevate our songs into something we are truly proud of.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
We like to diversify our lyrical themes throughout our songs. As fun as angry songs are to write and perform, we aim to include positivity and empowerment as well into our writing. Our newest single is about rising above the bad experiences you have endured and becoming stronger because of them.

What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We are constantly practicing putting more and more energy and interaction into our performances, we hate standing statically on stage. We get out into the audience as much as possible, and our vocalist Jonny likes to climb on anything he can for the big moments in our set. As we are a younger band, we haven’t played too many shows as of yet, but that will change in a big way in the coming months.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
When it comes to wild things being done on stage, no band can really compare to Rammstein, the sheet amount of pyro that they use is awe inspiring.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Pedro runs his Schecter C-7 SLS Elite Evil twin through his Neural DSP Quad Cortex.
Federico uses his Ibanez RGD7521PB-DSF Axion Label 7-String through his personal pedal board
Jonny jumps around with his Shure PG58
Mark plays his Ibanez ehb1265ms through his Line 6 Helix LT
Flynn has too many things to list, but among his favourites are his Tama backline shells with a Yamaha oak-shell snare, Remo heads, A mix of Zildjian, Meinl, Paiste and Sabian cymbals, and his Czarcie Kopyto double kick pedals.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Our newest single ‘Immortal’ is our biggest and baddest song to date, we are so proud of how this one came out and can’t wait for more people to hear it. Looking forward, we are releasing our full EP on the 20th September, containing all our singles to date, as well as some extra songs that no one has heard yet.
What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We are already hard at work writing our next EP and plan to hit 2025 running. We are looking at tours and shows across the UK, plus some more things that we will reveal in time.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
Currently we would love to support Imminence, they’re unique style of metalcore and violin captivated us immediately and we think we would fit the bill wonderfully. As for a band to open, we are good friends with an awesome band based in Brighton called RAD, and we’d love to see them get some more attention.
