Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Most of us our from the South West of the UK.
How did you meet?
We all met when the project became a real band. They’d heard the music and wanted in, so here we all are now and here to stay.
How long have you been playing as a band?
RUINA has been going since late 2019 (good timing right?) so it feels great to have this finalised version of us out and touring.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
We would say it’s something really deep and meaningful, but if we’re being honest we nicked it from a Bleed From Within song. Great song mind you.
What are your influences?
Bleed from within haha! Other mentions would be most Gothenburg bands like In Flames. We love Orbit Culture and the new heavier side of BFMV.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
It’s hard to say what makes us different as such apart from the fact we don’t make music that follows trends or what’s hot right now. We make heavy music that’s fun, lethal and crushing.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Somewhere between mental health and telling shitty people to fuck off?

What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We’ve played as many shows as we can considering most of our reign has been through a pandemic, however we’re absolutely stacked for shows this year, with many more to come.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Fall ass over tit mid song… crazy times.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
We sure are! Our new EP titled As The Sky Begins To Break is out Sept 30th along with new Merch… and we head off on tour in October with our buds in Rituals!
What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
Play as many shows as we can and write as many new, even better tracks
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
Would be rude not to open for Bleed From Within, we took their song name it’s the least we could do aye? Opening for us on the other hand, we’d pick whatever the local metal band is. Everyone needs a platform and to be heard!
