Is that Wednesday over already? Well, as a happy humpday present have some immature hard rock from the Netherlands!
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re from the greatest city in the Netherlands: Rotterdam!
How did you meet?
The band started out as a threesome between childhood friends. Ooff, that sounds naughty. Currently we’re a 5-piece and we promised the newer members grand sums of money to lure them away from their old bands.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Approximately 43800 hours. That’s 1825 days. Or 5 years. MATH. [Maths – Mosh, professional pedant]
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
Of the O.G. members, one had a big belly. One had a giant head. And one an enormous ego. Thus, the Fatsos were born.
What are your influences?
Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age, Opeth, Talking Heads, Steely Dan, Eagles of Death Metal. And let’s not forget BLACKLEG MINER!
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We never play a chorus three times.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
The main theme of our upcoming EP Rock ‘n Roffa is hedonism. Most of the lyrics were written 5 years ago. This was a period when all the band members were particularly fond of their dicks. The songs portray scenes of seduction, adultery, and some smooth swayin’ of the hips.

What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
So far we’ve played about 60 gigs. Our shows are sweaty, dirty, steamy and nasty. There’s a lot of “ooh’s” and “ah’s” coming from both the band and the audience. Prepare yourself for the hardest musical boner you’ll ever have.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Our lead vocalist Tom managed to slam his headstock between his teeth while playing the final chords of the set. Luckily there was a doctor on stage (our bassist).
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Our drummer plays a Pearl Master’s Maple, and Zildjian Sweet K’s. As for guitars, we play on Fender, Ibanez, Duesenberg, and Harley Benton. We use Koch, Boss and Marshall amps.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
We are currently promoting our new single “Touch Base”, which is part of the second EP Rock ‘n Roffa. We have just released a juicy music video for Touch Base, and the new EP is planned for February 2021.

What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We are finishing up new material and plan to start recording ASAP for a third EP. Hopefully we’ll also be playing some shows although it’s hard to know when that will be possible again. We’re currently just focussing on everything we can do while the world is closed due to covid-19. In early spring 2021 we will also be releasing a live session which we recorded earlier this month.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
To open for us, we would like to have Eagles of Death Metal so we can limber up with some heavy booty shakin’ during their set. We would be supporting Blackleg Miner obviously. They are dope as fuck.
