We don’t rest! Boxing Day isn’t going to stop us from telling you about bands – indulge on this!
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are from Germany. To be precise, we live in the South West, near Cologne.
How did you meet?
Since we formed kind of new in 2018, we met through shows that our old bands played together.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Originally the band was founded in 2015. But a lot has happened since then and we have been in this constellation since 2018.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
It’s the name of a prison in a famous video game that some of the band members like to play. That’s not very poetic but we thought it would fit the music.

What are your influences?
We like every style of rock music, new and old. There are bands like AC/DC or Alice in Chains that we listen to, but also new ones like Nothing But Thieves or Inglorious.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We try to fuse the best of new and old guitar music in our songs. There needs to be a hook that you can sing along to, but there has to be a riff as well, or at least a guitar solo.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Our songs always describe short scenes that happen in our lives and that are important to us. These can be good or bad ones, they only have to be real.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We have played around one hundred shows to date. We always try to stay real and honest, so there are often things that happen that are unexpected. Like someone falling into the drum set or running through the crowd. But that’s us and we like it that way.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
At a festival we had some fans coming on stage during the last song. That was fun!
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Maybe we can do a rundown someday, so we can show you everything in detail but generally Chris, our drummer, uses ST Drums and Turkish Cymbals. Our guitarists Alex and Sebastian play Gibson and Gretsch guitars, as well as Suhr Amps and Marshall Amps. Lukas plays Epiphone Basses and Warwick Amps. Our Singer Steve uses Shure Microphones and an Ultimate Ears In Ear System.

What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
We are not promoting anything at the moment, but to be honest it would be hard. We have so much different gear that we use and like and we honestly don’t want ourselves to be limited.
What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We have a single coming out on November 20th that is called “Never Look Back”. And for the beginning of next year we are planning to release a full length record with our new label Bug Valley Records.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
That’s hard to pick, honestly. We would definitely love to play with our boys from Rovar (check those guys out!) and maybe AC/DC could headline the show? That would be a nice package.
