Christmas Eve Eve and our early gift to you is one of music. Which it usually is. But don’t let that take the gloss off today’s Band of the Day…
How did you meet?
We met at a local blues jam and it was love at first feel.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Since 2016 or so.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
It was a drunk Star Wars-joke. We started the band for fun… turned out we don’t suck, started a career and now the name stuck…
What are your influences?
The Beatles! Mix in some punk, some rock & roll and blues!
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
It’s like The Beatles. Mix in some punk, some rock & roll and blues! Guess it’s all about chemistry in a band of brothers.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Not really, just everything that comes to your mind. Just don’t fuck Mother Earth.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
It’s always like a wild party. You never know what happens next, because we have no clue ourselves.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
At our release show we had a moaning contest for all genders to win a special edition vinyl. The audience decided who orgasmed most authentically. Or maybe the day a friend in the front row was distracting us with a slideshow of other friends dickpics.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
We like to keep it basic. Most of the time we go for a Telecaster through a Fender Blues Junior plus a few pedals for the juice. A Fender Precision Bass through whatever amp is available and a 60’s Slingerland Kit with a deep snare.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Were very excited to announce our music video is out now. Its for our song “Fire & Fuel” and features the amazing Sina Brunner doing the acrobatics! Do yourself a favour and check it out on YouTube!
What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We can’t wait to go back to the studio to record our second album! Also our fingers are itching to get back on the road, once this pandemic is over!
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
The Bluesanovas would open the night! After us there would be a great show by Memo Gonzalez and the Özdemirs!
