This would have been a fitting band to pop up a couple of months ago when it was, you know, Autumn. But we’ll settle for that dead man’s land between xmas and new year when nobody knows that day of the week it is.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are from Mannheim, Germany.
How did you meet?
We met years ago. Denis and Norbert met in 2016 at their favourite rock disco, Aaron is the brother of an old friend of Denis. And Kai and Denis met at a rock festival.
How long have you been playing as a band?
We playing in this formation since 2017. After our founder bassist Marcel left the band.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
Denis got the idea after he saw a tree in autumn. And since that day the name “Autumn Tree” stuck in his head.
But we are seeing the Autumn Tree like a lifeline, sometimes bad things gonna happen but after all the bad things, there will come better times.
What are your influences?
We listen to a lot of different kind of bands and genres, like Alter Bridge, Metallica, Volbeat, Black Stone Cherry or Shinedown. But we also listen to bands that our dads listen too. Like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin or The Police.

Describe your music. What makes you unique?
It‘s very hard to describe our own musical style. But our sound is dirty, loud and very emotionally. And another thing that makes unique are the stories that Kai is telling in his lyrics.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Oh yes, we got different kinds of themes. Sometimes we are inspired by the old wild west movies (Deadman‘s Hand, Lynda Q or Mississippi Rain), sometimes we are writing about love stories that happened to us (“Still Waiting”, “I Know” or “The Distance”), sometimes we are writing about the Devil, like in our new single “Seducción”.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We played a lot of different live shows over the years. Different summer festival shows or support shows for Exilia or Motorjesus.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
We were playing in the semi finals of a band contest in 2017. We had the last slot at 1 am… and we were so fuckin drunk…but we played the show and rocked it. I guess!
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Denis plays Victory and Bogner amps and Paul Reed Smith guitars, Norbert Orange ass amps and Yamaha/Ltd basses, Kai plays Paul Reed Smith amps and Ltd guitar and Aaron plays Pearl drums and Stagg cymbals.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Currently we are promoting our new single “Seducción”. Check out our music video below… you will love it!

What are your plans for the next 6 months or so?
We released our new Single Seducción on October 30th. We had a lot of plans for this year (Germany tour, different festivals, support shows) but FUCK CORONA!!!
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
There are a lot of great bands out there who we’d really love to support. but we think Alter Bridge or Volbeat would be the biggest deal! And its hard to choose the right Band to open for us because there are so many bands we love.
Horsefly Rocket, Red County Jail, Cold Ass Johnny or Melbourne Fall.
