Rounding off the week (or starting the weekend, your choice) with a solo artist…
Simple things first – where are you from?
I hail from the Emerald Isle of Ireland.
How long have you been playing?
I have been playing for many years. Before kicking off my solo career I played with some amazing Irish bands such as Kerouac, Marabou and Peralis (Currently still active).
What are your influences?
I have so many musical influences. Bands and artists from many different genres including Richie Kotzen, Incubus, Dead Letter Circus, Bush, Toska, Owane and Vola to name a few.

Describe your music. What makes you unique?
My sound pulls from a wide range of musical styles such as rock, blues, progressive metal, indie, experimental and ambient. I guess what makes my music unique is my genre mixing and style hopping. Ever-evolving and experimenting.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
I generally write from my own life experiences and the experiences of those around me but of late my attention has been on the times we live in and all the many new challenges we all face.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
At one of my gigs people can expect a high energy, emotion driven, fun, crowd engaging show with lots of musical diversity from loud rock n’ roll to danceable groovy tunes.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
The wildest thing I’ve seen at one of my live shows was when a venue I was playing got shut down by police for noise complaints. It was crazy, we felt bad for the venue owner but he was cool about it, think he had a similar problem before. We were lucky enough though to find another venue down the street that would accommodate us on such short notice. The show went on in the new venue without a hitch and we had a great show.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
For guitars and bass we play Fender and ESP mainly. Pearl kits mainly but we also have a few endorsements so gotta give a shout out to EMG, InTune Picks, Scorpion Percussion and Aquarian Drum Heads.
What are your plans for the next 12 months?
I’m just about to release my second album Solar Systems on September 30th which will be available on all major platforms including Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and Google Play. I have two singles and two music videos set for release in early September as well, “Cyber Reflections” and “Friends in the Pocket”. My current album Significant Progress is also available on all major platforms now.

If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
It would have to be Richie Kotzen Headlining and my brothers in Ritual Effect supporting.
