It’s always nice to encounter a new band, but we worry about Cody…
Simple things first – where are you from?
Cincinnati, Ohio.
How did you meet?
Garian I was in a band with, Mark I played with when he was in another band, Jordan was in Garian’s band after I left, and Cody we picked up on the side of the road selling his body for Wild Turkey.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Uhh… 6 years.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
Too late. I just came up with it, and noone was using it at the time. It’s a boring story really!
What are your influences?
Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Queensryche, Megadeth
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
I would say our sound is a throwback but our approach is more of a modern sensibility. My inspiration for things isn’t always rooted in the genre. I collect ideas all over for production or melodies, or whatever I can apply to what I am doing.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Not really, I just write about what I am feeling at the time or we collaborate on some lyrics together. how things turn out is how they turn out for the most part. there’s definitely themes for everyone to get into that we have everything from introspection to people in the military, politics, tragedy, being cool. It’s all there, man.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
High energy and lots of fun, we like keeping the audience in high gear, and far too many to count I don’t think I can count them all.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Oh what we have planned for our next big show is definitely going to be the wildest thing we have done. Top Secret! Confidential! I can tell you but then I’ll have to kill you!
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
I use Shure Mics and a sennheiser bluetooth setup for IEMs, guitars: Jackson, Ibanez, Gibson, and fender. Drums: Pearl and Tama
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Our two singles are out right now! “Medieval” and “Born to Burn” – wherever you listen to music, you can stream or download them! Also our debut album is coming May 23!
What are your plans for 2020?
To kick ass when we can get outside and play! We want to play all over everywhere when this quarantine is over!
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
Stagecoach Inferno, War Curse, and High Council! Love these guys my favorite bands to play with and good buddies!
