Band of the Day: Outside Revelation

A quick hop over the North Sea (or should that be Noordzee?) for today’s Band of the Day…

Simple things first – where are you guys from?

The Netherlands (Breda & Rotterdam)

How did you meet?

By just running into each other. From that point we immediately fell in love with each others playing styles.

How long have you been playing as a band?

3 years

What are your influences?

Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Rival Sons and Blackberry Smoke.

Describe your music. What makes you unique?

The groove and effects makes it special. Thereby we always search for endless jams in our music.

Do you have any particular lyrical themes?

The songs are about life and everything that comes with living on planet Earth.

What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?

Our shows are energetic and full with groovy songs. We played around 30 gigs. And as you can see, our tourposter is full with clubs again.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?

Sometimes we all have the habit of just starting a jam. Or just start a cover out of the blue. This happened when we did a try out show at a small festival in The Netherland. I think we played that song for 15 minutes and people were going crazy! It was “Whole Lotta Love”. You can’t blame us, it’s a classic!

What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?

We play with a TAMA Drumkit, Hagstrom guitars, Custom Marshall heads, Ampeg and Musicman basses

What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?

We are promoting our new single “Catch Me”. And more to come!

What are your plans for 2020?

The release of “Catch Me” is the start of our 2020. We will release an EP (including new singles) on the first of June. This will be followed by a club tour in The Netherlands and Belgium (20 shows).

If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!

Amazing question. Of course there are so many bands that we love. But we would like to have Black Stone Cherry as an opener. The South African rockers of Black Bone Nation should be the headliner. Definitely check them out! I think that night would be perfect!
