Some south coast rock for you today…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Brighton.
How did you meet?
The magic of the internet.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Emotionally or physically?
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
We tend to explore melancholic, cold and desolate soundscapes. What’s more cold and desolate than an Igloo?
What are your influences?
Arcane Roots, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Muse.
Muse – Muscle Museum, Placebo – In The Cold Light of Morning, Bjork – Wanderlust
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Imagine walking into a uniquely majestic cathedral, cherub-like choir in full chorus. You are then punched squarely in the face.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
Reflection of personal and social landscapes and how these issues affect us individually.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
For our shows, we like to experiment with new material a lot. Our passion is our performance.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
A member of Rammstein crowd surfing in a dinghy with a flame-thrower.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Mexican fender tele deluxe, Fender hot rod and custom pedal board.
Serenity Custom Drums – Zildjian K & A Custom and Meinl cymbals.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Releasing “Feed My Brain”, Friday 13th March.
What are your plans for 2020?
Headline Download Festival… Has the submission deadline passed yet?
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
Would be cool to play with Big Spring headlining and Les Bods opening.
