Youngsters, eh? How dare they be so talented. And… young.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re not a garage band because technically, technically, we play out of the back room of our parent’s house. lol. We’re from upstate NY! About 45 minutes from the Canadian Border.
How did you meet?
The drummer (Christian) and I (Meredith…the green haired gal!) are siblings! We met bassist Ian through mutual friends. (Truthfully, he literally fell -he says he jumped- out of a tree. But I guess there’s worse ways to meet people!)
How long have you been playing as a band?
We just passed our 2nd year “bandiversary” August 5th, 2017.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
We were driving home from playing at the Rock N Worship Festival in Dalton MA. We straight up ripped the name off of the rap song Undefeated by KB.
What are your influences?
In Ian’s (Bassist) words: Literally everything influences me. Whether it’s something good, or even if it’s bad. Everyone needs a place to just be themselves. We learned the value of this simple fact by watching how others made us feel. Acceptance is refreshing. That’s what drives us, we want people to walk away feeling refreshed.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
War-like drums, booming bass, and a lil bit o’ glitter. Our lead vocalist can flat out sing. Christian is a BEAST on the drums. The bassist adds smoooooth lines. Our shows include ballads for those who like it from the heart; and some rockin’ tunes for you head-bangers. You’re not going to sit and listen to the same sound over and over.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
As I think through the lyrics, they’re mainly about life. Lol. I’m 17.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
Our live show is fun, full of life. We play weekly, with the occasional week off.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
The crowd favorites are definitely the bass and drum solos. Our bassist likes to play behind his head.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
The drum kit is a 7-piece Tama, Superstar Classic, with an Indigo Burst. He has a Zildjian 20” S Series Rock Ride, 18” A Custom Medium Crash, 16” S Series Rock Crash; Meinl 18” Trash China, and a ZBT 14” High-Hat.
Ian plays a Fender P Bass (player precision).
My electric is an Ibanez S Series, and my acoustic is a Breedlove.
What are your plans for 2020?
We are currently filming our second music video to our rock ballad “Where Are You”. It’s a follow-up song to our first single, Shadows (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62xRoCrGHRg). We have a 5-song EP set to release later this year.
We are performing Shadows at the Kindred Award Show this March. We are also nominated for the “New Group” award! We won a spot to play at the New York State Winter Fair, looking forward to that! Right now we play a lot of single shows, and are gearing up into touring.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
We don’t know about opening or closing, but we’d love to play a show with Demon Hunter, Tenth Avenue North, or the Rolling Stones.
