Welcome to the weekend? The one thing you definitely need is new music. Allow us to help…
We are from the Tampa bay area in Florida.
How did you meet?
I met these guys when Tony P. posted that Shattered needed a new vocalist. Tony p., Weaver and Shawn were already established in the band, except for Jon. I’ve been in a few projects with him over the past decade or so.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
We were just throwing names around and Shattered just seemed right and was available at the time.
What are your influences?
My influences range in H.P. Lovecraft literature, current events, ancient mythologies and old school death and black metal bands. Although I cannot speak for the rest of the band.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Our music is intense and heavy hitting, every song has its own atmospheric vibe that attacks your senses.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
The second upcoming album Skinwalker is loosely themed around the shape-shifters in Native American culture.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We have a full light show, and engage the crowd with high energy. At this point in time I have lost track of how many shows I’ve played.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
The strangest thing I’ve ever seen at a show was two guys having a fun noodle lightsaber battle in the pit in legit Jedi gear.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Deans, Diamond, and Ibanez guitars, such a variety.
What are your plans for 2019?
This year we have our sophomore album Skinwalker planned to be recorded and planning our U.S. tour.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you?
I would love to support Entombed, those guys are phenomenal live! I would also put Led By Serpents on that show, those guys are very talented musicians and I have nothing but respect for them!
