Keeping things as eclectic as ever, we’ve got something more in the psychedelic groove for you today for our Band of the Day.
Simple things first ā where are you guys from?
We are from West London.
How did you meet?
We rented a house through a uni forum, without knowing each other. We started hanging out together a lot and we are still living together.
How long have you been playing as a band?
Just over a year now.
Before you get sick of being askedā¦ where does the band name come from?
We didnāt have lyrics, but we had to lay down some demo vocals. Drewzi was reading things written on the walls around us and he tried to pronounce āelectromagnetic switchā but his tongue got stuck and he said āEnglomanatic Glitchā instead and yeah.
What are your influences?
Meshuggah.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
It is not a thing we should answer.
Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
The different emotional stages that we go through.
Whatās your live show like? How many shows have you played?
We are still experimenting with atmosphere, but the main aim is to put a good show.
Whatās the wildest thing youāve seen or done at a live show?
Emo – Iāve seen a guy collapsing after swallowing his tongue, Iāve seen people go out with blood all over their faces, not at our gigs… for now.
Viko – I’ve seen Slayer!
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
We use a lot of Earthquaker devices, on everything.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
Our new Single āThe Raidā coming out on 14th of September on all major platforms.
What are your plans for 2018?
The year is coming to its end, but we will try to gig as much as we can.
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be supporting and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plugĀ someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
It would be sick to open up for Black Sun Empire and have Princess Gardens opening for us.
