Band of the Day: This Burning Age

Personally I have never given many electro-rock bands a chance but I had a lot of fun checking out This Burning Age. “Tatterdemalion”, released on 4 November 2016, is the new single from the five piece from Birmingham. We got it sent through recently and on the strength of it we just had to pop the band up on our “…of the day” list.

Without fail, This Burning Age lift your mood – I know I love to listen to them when I’m stressed out and feeling angsty! However, resisting the urge to dance in public is hard.

“Tatterdemalion” has chilling vocals which bears a strong resemblance to Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor’s. I have had the song on repeat for a few days now and I can honestly say that I am not even sick of hearing it. The perfect mix of heavy guitar and synth captures the raw emotion which allows the listener to relate more to the single.

As a big fan of Nine Inch Nails, I would definitely recommend fellow fans giving This Burning Age a listen. It’s also for those that are fans of synth-rock, metal, industrial and for those who love bass, electro beats and riffs that will blow them away.
