With a new EP – La Musique de Plaisir Vallée – on sale just now, I was sent some information about Plaisir Vallée a few days ago. It may not surprise you to hear that they’re French – based in Paris – and the material I’ve heard, at least, is sung in their native tongue.
Plaisir Vallée is a three-piece, and the sound of the band is eclectic to say the least. Very much a rock band, there’s a hint of blues, some electronica and a touch of industrial/garage. The track I’ve embedded below, “Un Croco dans la Ville”, covers plenty of these influences in a shade over five minutes and is well worth a listen.
The band members are:
- Adrien Balency – vocals and guitar
- Kirill Nikitin – drums
- Clement Witt – keyboards
Hit up their online presence for more samples or to buy the EP.
