Band of the Day: Pulvis et Umbra

Pulvis et Umbra square logoAn Italian band today, in the dark and scary form of Pulvis et Umbra.

Their history goes back to 2001, and various line-up changes in the intervening years. Starting off as a death metal band, then bringing in more doom/goth influences from the likes of Paradise Lost they have also added a twist of metalcore in the last couple of years.

They’ve had a couple of releases, but the current official line-up appears to be just the one guy – Damy – who does guitars, bass, drums and vocals.

I’ve placed their most recent video below, for a track called “Implosion of Pain”. As ever, if it tickles your metallic fancy then check out the links for more information!
