As should be obvious from the name, not so much a band as an artist of the day today. Steve Saluto has been playing guitar since he was fifteen, and can now boast a back-catalogue of eleven albums – some solo, some as part of a band.
His style ranges from flamenco to metal – he’s certainly not one to get stuck in a musical rut! His live music CV includes performances with artists as varied as Buddy Miles and The Venice Gospel Ensemble.
Forthcoming release 12 features four tracks that very definitely fit in to the “rock” genre, though even within the small number there’s room for plenty of variety. Opener “Believer” kicks in with some electro sounds before launching into headbanging, crunching rhythms. It’s followed by the softer, balladic “Gone”. The remaining two tracks find some kind of balance between these two extremes.
Overall, though, there’s no denying there’s good music on here. The rest of the team on the EP aren’t to be sniffed at either. Saluto’s teamed up with Oni
Logan (Lynch Mob) on vocals, Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Slash) on drums and the new bass master Thomas Nero.
