Very much a new band today – Scars Divide were formed in 2013 by members of several Swiss bands who wanted to create something a bit new. Lady and gentle-germs, I give you prog-metalcore-post-rock.
The major components of the sound are the progressive and metalcore elements. Light-fingered scales up and down the frets accompanied by crunching bass rhythms and harsh vocals give an unusual but not jarring result.
Their debut EP (six tracks) came out at the end of February and can be sampled via their labels bandcamp page – and purchased from there if you like it!
