Karybdis hail from the English capital. Amongst the tourist throng, overpaid politicians and statues covered in shit, they stand out with their solid brand of melodic death.
Chucking on one of their songs is like being hit harder than one of those bloody red buses. Rhythms that chug faster than an overstretched black cab engine and throaty vocals that could be emanating from the Tower itself. Great stuff.
OK, sod the London-related imagery. This stuff is good. Heavy, fast and with some interesting clean breaks with more strident guitar work, Karybdis know how to throw together a tune or three.
Their debut album,Ā From the Depths, came out in 2011 to very positive reviews and you can find out why by sampling the track below. More information (and music) via the proliferation of links.
