Coming from Glasgow / Edinburgh, you need to have a sense of humour. Trust me, I live in the former and have worked in the latter. As you can probably tell from the name, The Murderburgers don’t take themselves too seriously and they do their best to make sure their audience take that away with them.
They’re a pop-punk band so have a sound that’s pretty easy to get into, and their songs are generally quite short – long enough to get the gag across and then onto the next one.
I can imagine one of their gigs being great fun, but more importantly their material stands alone pretty well. You can actually whack it on in the car and enjoy it – you don’t need the aid of a crowd and copious amounts of beer as well.
Their latest album (How To Ruin Your Life) came out at the start of October and there are a few songs kicking about online. Do a search for them on YouTube as they don’t have an official page there. You’ll find a lot of live recordings.
