A friend mentioned this bunch of psycho nutbags on his facebook feed the other day as he knows them. They’ve got a new album out on the 8th of July (so this post will just miss the release date, sorry) called The End of Days and he wanted to plug it.
On the strength of the song below, I’m giving it a hearty “hell, yeah – I’m up for some of that”. Hell, even the dopey intro is worth watching. “Cul-de-sac” indeed.
ACiD DROP play fun bouncy punk skate rock ska stuff. The kind of music you can sit and tap your foot to on the train, bang your head to at a party, pogo to or mosh to or sing along to. The silly accents are because they’re from Leeds, the poor bastards. You have to have a sense of humour to live there. This from someone who moved to Bradford in 1992 and spent 13 years trying to get the fuck away again.
Anyway, give them a listen. Enjoy the video below – it really is quality. Then support them by picking up the album. I’m sure they’ll have more info on their facefart and official pages by the time you read this.
