We cover a fair few covers and oddball humourous tracks in this feature, but once in a while it’s great to dig back into the classics… and they don’t get much more classic than this offering from Queen.
“A Winter’s Tale” was written and recorded – in one take – by Freddie himself. The track found a home on Made In Heaven, the album being released in 1995 after Mercury’s untimely passing, and was the second single from the album.
This is definitely one to sit back and be smothered by. It’s not a rocker, but it’s still one of the best songs written by a band famed for writing nothing but quality.
