Exclusive album stream: Reese – ‘Long Streets’

Reese are an energetic and melodic alternative rock band from Vicenza, a small town in Northeastern Italy. The band was founded in 2006 and definitely re-founded in 2010 after a one-year breakup.

In the early years the band performed at some local venues and released 3 self-produced EPs: Just Human Words, View From The Tree and Under The Carpet.

After an intense live activity, the band recorded its first full-length album Black Russian, released on October 27th, 2017 via Sorry Mom! records, featuring 5 singles and videoclips. The record was promoted with European gigs in Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Latvia and Lithuania.

In 2019 the band recorded its second full-length album Dreaming Pieces, an 11-track work which had to be out in 2020. However, the release date was postponed to April 22nd, 2022 due the pandemic, via Sorry Mom!/Artist First. Meanwhile, the band had released 4 singles and 3 videoclips from the album.

In 2023 the band began the making of its third full-length album Long Streets, which will be released on November 29th 2024. The album was recorded both in English and Italian version, the latter with the alternative title Lunghe Strade. You can stream the English version, in full and a day early, below.

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea “Spazza” Rigoni at Haunted Studios in Castelgomberto (IT). Michele Luppi took care of the reamp of the vocal tracks at MiLu’s RockLab II in Fabbrico (IT)

The sound of Reese is based on a solid, energetic and melodic alternative rock. Throughout the various releases, the band tried to refine arrangements, melodies and song writing’s fluency.
The lyrics are mostly about personal themes and are considerations on some aspects of real life like death and illness of loved ones, fear of change, desire to break out of the daily routine.
