We exclusively (again – Ricky talked to them earlier this year) speak to Brit heavyweights A Titan, A Deity who continue their upward curve with the release of their imposing new EP, Descendant, out Friday 18th November.
Io
Io is one of the more technical songs on the EP and I think captures a lot of what makes us, us as a band. The song revolves around the damage that we are doing to the planet we’re living in, whilst simultaneously giving it a voice of relatable anguish.
Revelations (video below)
The first track we wrote for this EP, we wanted to capture something that had groove but also played around with time a bit more. The song is about the loss of a loved one, and the retention of their memory/legacy in our minds. A fan favourite performed live.

Bleak (video)
The first single from the EP, Bleak is an ode to a broken society that uses violence to protect its inflated ego. It tries to raise awareness of this, and question the morals of those who partake in the violence. One of the heavier riff based tracks on the EP
Heirloom (video)
This song has become a favourite of ours and is the most personal track from the EP as it deals with personal loss, and clutching onto mementos as the only form of connection with what/who has gone missing from our lives. It almost has a stripped back, ambient feel in places.
Oxygen
This track really came alive in the studio and pushed us the most creativity-wise and includes some really fun parts that we won’t spoil yet. It touches upon the futility of life at times, and highlights the feeling that everything we do here, in retrospect, does not actually matter in the grand scheme of things.
