ForeignWolf are making new friends and picking up new fans. With glowing comparisons to Alter Bridge, Alexisonfire, and Deftones, ForeignWolf drop their stunning new EP, Your Weapons, Your Words, this Friday. With this in mind, we asked the band to give us this exclusive track by track breakdown of the EP:
This song is about a manipulative relationship. The story is based around the belief that you can’t be without a specific person, regardless of the fact you know you aren’t happy, and nothing quite feels right. You are made to feel that a lot of what happens is your fault and it fills you with a lot of self-doubt, however you still cling on and feel there is no alternative.

AFTERTHOUGHT – (watch / listen on YouTube)
‘Afterthought’ blurs the line between mental health being an internal battle and a relationship. In this song we try to convey the feeling that our brain is our significant other and the weight of the relationship is starting to take a toll on us. We speak about the anxiety, despair, and burden our mental health puts on us.
NO LIMIT – (watch / listen on YouTube)
‘No Limit’ was inspired through conversations that were had with several people throughout lockdown in 2020. It deals with addiction, whether this be alcohol, sexual, drugs or any others. In the song we deal with both the urge and temptation to perform certain acts or partake in illicit activities and the feeling of regret and the aftereffects. Throughout the song we feel that as a band we are the voice in an individual’s head asking them not to do it.

GRADUAL DESTRUCTION OF AN ALREADY BROKEN MAN
The theme of ‘Gradual Destruction’ is self-doubt. The song explores the idea of worthlessness and believing that you have no place in the world. Through exploring these feelings, we soon realise that there are actually a lot of people that feel this way and if we look below the skin, we are all the same.
