We ran a little competition through December on our facebook page to, basically, show off how good our photographers are. We got each shutterbug to submit their favourite photo – that they themselves had taken – during 2016. These were popped into a gallery and the general public were asked to comment, like and share each of them.
The one with most social media “push” won the photographer an ego boost. One unwitting commenter, liker or sharer would win a framed print of the winning picture.
That lucky winner was Del Miller who got himself a nice copy of Mark Lloyd’s winning snap – a truly awesome shot of Zakk Wylde in full Rock God pose, and a worthy champion despite the strength of some of the opposition. Until Mark’s photo popped up, the gamblers amongst us had their pennies on Steve Dempsey’s incredible “no way is that not Photoshopped” (it genuinely wasn’t) Dee Snider image from this year’s Bloodstock.
Bubbling under was Will Tudor’s action image of Acid Reign‘s Howard Smith losing his top hat during a ridiculously athletic maneuver, again at Bloodstock 2016.
There were plenty of other pics that could have been in with a shout. Don’t believe me? Check them out yourself below. I’m the Big Cheesy Head Honcho and even I couldn’t pick an outright winner, or even a top five, which is why we let you lot do it.
Let’s do it all again at the end of 2017, shall we?
