That lovely logo you see as well as much of the inline art on these pages, was supplied by Duncan Hamilton (this is the name to put on the cheques when you inevitably pay him for his great work!). Click on his name there to see more of his work - you'll need Netscape 2 or better and a damn nice monitor to make the most of it, mind! Dunc's done album cover work for bands such as Apes, Pigs & Spacemen and Whatever on the Music For Nations label, as well as work on web pages. He'll also cut you a darn good deal on full colour business cards! Mail him for details at dbu1@cableol.co.uk
If you have any comments, requests, or questions about the artists featured, please feel free to mail me at webmaster@moshville.co.uk. Also, I'll be glad to plug your band for you. All I need is a biog (emailed or snailmailed is fine), and if possible some of their material and a picture or two. Just in case, please include a note saying that it's OK (or, indeed, not OK) to sample some material for inclusion in the page.
Any bands/labels out there interested in getting some play in a local rock club, please get in touch. I DJ for the university RockSoc and I'll gladly get back to you with what the audience thinks of your material. Just drop me an email if you're interested.

Music News
If it's release dates for forthcoming albums/singles that you're after, check the separate Work In Progress section.
- Reviews Updated And again, I've had a couple of days off (thanks to Easter) and added a whole load to the Reviews Pages. Enjoy!
- PL Latest I bumped into Aaron at work today (no, really!). Paradise Lost have just finished recording their seventh album, Host. Expect a May release through EMI once they've had a chance to mix it.
- Thanks, Kevin! Many of the following stories are courtesy of Kevin Gasner, who has once again helped me out while I've been short of time.
- S.O.D. Back S.O.D. is back once again with a second album due out soon featuring the original lineup of Charlie and Scott (Anthrax) Danny Lilker (Brutal Truth) and of course, frontman Billy Milano.
- Downset Recording Downset entered the studio this month and are recording with Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson & Tribe of Gypsies) as producer.
- Queensryche's New Guy Kelly Gray is now the official replacement for Chris Degarmo in Queensryche. Gray is also producing the new album due out soon.
- Holy Cult! Ian Astbury, formerly of the Cult and Holy Barbarians has just finished up recording his solo album.
- Sex, Hair & Rock 'n' Roll! Several 80's bands are making a comeback. Dokken has yet another new guitarist, this time former Winger axeman Reb
Beach (replacing John Norum who replaced George Lynch). King's X and Galactic Cowboys are touring together. Ex-Tesla guitarish Frank Hannon has a new band, Moon Dog Mane, a new album through Eureka Records, and a opening slot on the American wave of the Judas Priest tour.
- Nick Dethed Out Official now, according to the band's home page, Nick Menza has left Megadeth to be replaced by Jimmy Degrasso. Jimmy's been touring with the band recently and has decided to stay with them after it was decided that Nick should leave. There are on hard feelings, apparently. It was just felt by both parties that Nick's relationship with the rest of the members had run its course.
- Right Direction Going The Right Direction Century/KingFisher have asked to have the following point cleared up: Right Direction are not, and have never been Nazis of fascists. Apparently rumours are rife that a song off the band's current LP, To Rights A Wrong. The song in question, I Would Have Done The Same, is being alleged to be about Rudolph Hess, Hitler's right hand man. It is actually about a German mother, Marianne Bachmeier, who killed the rapist, torturer and murderer of her child in 1975. She shot the pervert dead in front of judge, jury and press in court. So there, rumourmongers.
Work In Progress
The dates here are subject to change as I'm sure anyone who's ever waited for an album to come out will know. They are as precise as I have them at the time. All bands listed in alphabetical order. If they seem out of place it's because it's my version of the alphabet so it might not correspond with the one found in most dictionaries (how's that for a cop-out excuse?)
- AC/DC are working on material for a new album now. No titles or anything as yet.
- Aerosmith are digging through cuttings to put together enough material for a new live album.
- Cathedral were in the studio from June 22nd to work on a new album due September/October.
- The Clash - sort of. A tribute album to the band featuring, amongst others, Korn is due on sale next year. The real band will be releasing a live album before the end of the year.
- Coal Chamber are another band aiming to record a new album by the year's end.
- Alice Cooper will be celebrated with the release of a tribute album soon. Tracks include School's Out (Dave Mustaine), Under My Wheels (half of Def Leppard), No More Mr Nice Guy (Roger Daltry and Slash) and Welcome To My Nightmare (Ronnie James Dio).
- Entombed are in pre-production on a new album. Expect it in the shops before the year is out.
- Europe are to reform and bring out a new album this year. God help us...
- Gamma Ray are thinking ahead and have started work on an album due for release in early 1999.
- Jag Panzer will have a second full album out before the end of the year. It will feature five new tracks and 5 reworkings of older, unreleased songs.
- Lacuna Coil will begin recording their first full album in November, with a February 1999 release date planned.
- Machine Head began recording their third album in July with an aim to release it before the end of the year.

- Motley Crue will record two new tracks to add onto the end of a forthcoming "Best Of..." album, currently titled Bitter Pills.
- My Dying Bride release 37.488% on October 5th. Some of it is being recorded in church halls across England!
- Nocturnal Rites beging work on a new album in November, with a February 1999 release date pencilled in.
- Ozzy Osbourne may have a tribute album released shortly, as long as it makes no use of his name or face. Should be available September/October.
- Paradise Lost release Reflections, a compilation video, in October.
- Power Of Expression release a new album by year's end now that guitarist Fabian Richter has finished designing the United Nations' web pages!
- Sacramentum began recording their next album in September.
- Rod Stewart (!) is the subject of a new tribute album featuring Gilby Clarke, John Corabi, Bruce Kulick and others.
- Rotting Christ have finished work on their new album. No title as yet, but it's due in the shops in January 1999.
- Sacramentum release Thy Black Destiny on January 18th.
- Tiamat enter the studio in early November. The new album, with a working title of Children of the Underworld, is slated for an April 1999 release.
- Devin Townsend in third band shocker! Not content with his work with Strapping Young Lad and Ocean Machine, Devin's released a solo album entitled Infinity on USG Records. Wildhearts completists note that one track was co-written by, and features, Ginger.
- Type O Negative may be moving back the release of Aggroculture until next year.
