Video Roundup: Stale Lane, Janet Gardner, In Vain, Inter Arma, Porn, Godwatt

If you’re “stuck at home” because you “can’t get into work” because of the “weather”, here’s some belters that are hot enough to melt the snow off next door’s roof…

Stale Lane – “Everlasting”

Finnish grunge flavoured alternative rock band Stale Lane have released a new single and a music video to the track “Everlasting”.

“Everlasting” was written over 7 years ago and the demo was recorded at the same time. It was re-recorded four times over the years but what ended up being the final release is basically the demo version with the original drums and bass.

Janet Gardner – “Candle”

After encountering a recent health scare, Janet Gardner releases the official music video for “Candle”.

“Candle” was originally scheduled to be released over the next couple of weeks, but after being rushed to the hospital for emergency brain surgery to remove a subdural haematoma, she was so moved by the outpouring of love and support that it gave the song new meaning.

The song is a single off Janet Gardner’s self-titled debut solo album from Pavement Entertainment. The album is available in digital and retail outlets everywhere.

In Vain – “Soul Adventurer”

In Vain is pleased to release their new music video for the track “Soul Adventurer”, featuring special guest Matthew Kiichi Heafy from Trivium and In Vain’s guest drummer Baard Kolstad from Leprous and Rendezvous Point.

Heaffy has made a video with his thoughts on the process behind the collaboration and says:

In Vain is one of my favorite modern bands in Metal. To be able to do vocals on their latest video single ‘Soul Adventurer’ was an honor. Be on the lookout on January 26th for their upcoming record Currents.

Inter Arma: “An Archer in the Emptiness”

Richmond’s Inter Arma share the live video for “An Archer in the Emptiness” on a new episode of Overcoast Music’s Sessions series. Filmed and recorded live on-location inside Richmond’s beautifully haunting Byrd Park Pumphouse, the performance serves a powerful testament to the city’s creative, innovative, and artistic heartbeat as well as its connection with a deep and rich cultural history. The episode of Overcoast Sessions is in support of the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Virginia Is For Lovers campaign.

Porn – “She Holds My Will”

The French industrial-goth metal group Porn released their third album, The Ogre Inside, in October. “She Holds My Will” is the fourth promo clip to be filmed for songs from it. It was made in Switzerland by Matteo VDiva of VD Pictures, who also shot the clip for the song “You Will Be The Death Of Me”.

Godwatt – “Tenebre”

Jolly Roger Records is proud to announce Godwatt‘s new album, entitled Necropolis, will be released on CD, picture LP (limited to 100 copies!), and digital on 9th February. Featuring eight brand new tracks (nine tracks on CD, with bonus track), Necropolis is a dark doom-metal monolith obeying all the rules of the genre but with its own personal musical perspective –  “Godwatt-branded”, recognizable from Italian lyrics and stoner influences, similar to their previous release L’Ultimo Sole.

The video for “Tenebre” is now available…
