Video Roundup: Anavae, Blood Youth, Bury the Machines, IAmSin, The Scars Heal in Time, Annihilator

It’s been a few days so have a half-dozen eclectic audio-visual treats.

Anavae – “Are We Alone”

Rising UK rock duo Anavae have released their brand new EP Are You Dreaming? via Better Noise Records/Eleven Seven, featuring the explosive new single “All Or Nothing”. It follows the release of the single “Are We Alone” in September – you can watch the video for that track here. Formed of Rebecca Need-Menear (vocals) and Jamie Finch (guitar), the band bridge the gap between rock and electronica, delivering a fresh and powerful sound which is loaded with personality, memorable hooks and standout vocals throughout the new EP.

Blood Youth – “Parasite”

Harrogate hardcore hellraisers Blood Youth have unleashed a live music video for “Parasite”, taken from the band’s debut album Beyond Repair which was released in April this year via Rude Records. Frontman Kaya Tarsus comments on the song and video:

Parasite is probably the heaviest song we have written so far! Lyrically it’s about how substances can radically change who we are as a person. The kindest people can turn into raging maniacs after a few drinks. I remember seeing it happen when I was in a bar. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and ended up writing the chorus on my phone that night! The video is a compilation of the many shows we have played over the last 12 months and perfectly showcases the intensity of a BY show! We are so stoked with how it all turned out!

Bury the Machines – “Sweet Succubus”

Bury the Machines is celebrating Halloween with the release of the official video for new single “Sweet Succubus.” The single follows the release earlier this year of the Wicked Covenant EP.

IAmSin – “One by One”

Finnish band IAmSin is set to release their debut album Kings & Queens on December 15th 2017 via Inverse Records. Their sound is a mix of raw metalcore riffs and banging post-hardcore vibes perfectly combined together.

The Scars Heal in Time – “In Your Flame”

This hard hitting, high energy rock band are no strangers to the hardwork and hustle of the music business. Originating with two bold sisters, Kayla Smith on guitar and vocals, and Tayler Smith on drums. The two sisters have been known to break the rules since they first jumped into the music scene. – by the end of 2017 the band will have toured 6 months of the year, released a new EP Produced by Justin Rimer (12 Stones, Saving Abel, Wayland) as well as a new music video Directed by Jon Vulpine (Backstreet Boys, Saliva, Lil Wayne, Drowing Pool)

Annihilator – “Pieces of You”

Combining heavy metal greatness with malevolent horror, the band is “thrilled” to reveal their extra-gory, NSFW music video for the track “Pieces of You” today. Annihilator’s Jeff Waters says:

The following contains a graphic interpretation of a true crime story that includes potentially disturbing images and lyrical content. We realize this is not exactly the most pleasant subject to write about, however, in the world of being a writer and musician, sometimes these stories can spawn a song! While many of the songs from the new album For The Demented have positive messages in them, this one does not!
