Video Roundup: The Darkness, A Higher Demise, Döxa, Confessions of a Traitor, Huxtable, Demised

The Darkness – “Southern Trains”

The Darkness have today released a brand new song, entitled “Southern Trains”. Delivering rip-roaring riffs that soar much faster than the lamented train service, England’s most distinctive, multiple award-winning, platinum-selling rock gods have once again created an important anthem for the nation, replete with spirited invective (a.k.a lots of swearing). “Southern Trains” follows the release of both lead single “All The Pretty Girls” and the expletive-drenched insight on the music industry, “Solid Gold”, both of which feature on the forthcoming album Pinewood Smile, out on October 6th.

A Higher Demise – “The End of Us”

Taken from their recent 7 track EP release To Death Or Victory, UK metalcore outfit A Higher Demise unleash their lyric video for their new single “The End Of Us”. Featuring Bassist Rachael Tarr stepping up to deliver the chorus hook-line, the emotive blast of “The End Of Us” is perfectly encased in the mould of A Higher Demise’s trademark gargantuan guitar riffs, intricate rhythmical dynamics and gut wrenching vocals from Charlie Serafini.

Döxa – “Erin Go Bragh”

As recently announced, Spain’s Symphonic Power Metal act Döxa has joined Pitch Black Records with the band’s third album, Lust for Wonder, scheduled for release on September 29th on CD and Digital. Lust for Wonder features guest vocal appearances by David Readman (Pink Cream 69) and Ani M. Fojaco (Last Days of Eden). A lyric video for “Erin Go Bragh” (the song featuring David Readman) has just been released.

Confessions of a Traitor – “In Darkness, Ignite The Spark”

British metalcore group, Confessions Of A Traitor, release the official video for the track “In Darkness, Ignite The Spark”, taken from their brand new EP Illuminate, released via Sliptrick Records worldwide in all formats. The song is about constantly battling, looking for a way out of constant pain, having a brief break from it and plummeting further into self doubt. It then takes a positive twist about eventually cutting the negativity from your life and realizing that you need to take time to heal yourself before you can concentrate on anything or anyone, and having the strength to overcome it.

Huxtable – “Super Toxic”

It was pretty clear from Huxtable’s last single “Don’t Do Anything Fancy” that the Scottish riff rockers never signed up to play the rock-by-numbers game, after all just how many singles do you know with a kazoo solo? Well, just when you thought the band could not get any more quirky, Huxtable have once again proved their love of fun with the new video for their latest explosive single “Super Toxic”. Huxtable utilised the ancient art of puppetry to film the tongue-in-cheek video for “Super Toxic”, which features their very own alter egos and is packed full of the bands synchronized sense of humour.

Demised – “Fractures & Ashes”

Spanish Gothic Rock Metallers Demised are proud to announce the release of their first official video “Fractures & Ashes”, taken from their album A Warm Place To Stay finally out via Wormholedeath / Aural Music.
